About DoMore Diagnostics

DoMore Diagnostics is transforming cancer care through artificial intelligence-powered digital pathology for clinical decision support. The company was established to meet the need for novel methods in precision medicine to personalize treatment for cancer patients, based on prominent research from leading institutions including Oslo University Hospital, Oxford University, and University College of London. The research project was selected as a Lighthouse project by the Norwegian Research Council to develop new diagnostic methods for cancer based on artificial intelligence, led by the late Prof. Håvard Danielsen with an aim to utilize new AI technology in digital pathology to reduce over- and undertreatment in cancer. The company's lead product, Histotype Px® Colorectal, is a CE-IVDD marked digital biomarker that leverages deep learning and digital pathology to predict patient outcomes and support more accurate, personalized treatment decisions in colorectal cancer (CRC). The solution addresses a major unsolved challenge in cancer care: the lack of reliable and affordable biomarkers to personalize treatment. In stage II and stage III CRC, surgery is often followed by adjuvant chemotherapy (ACT) in a one-size-fits-all approach, yet most patients are cured by surgery alone and ACT provides no benefit to the majority of patients (96-98% in stage II and 80% in stage III), only exposing them to short- and long-term side effects. Histotype Px® Colorectal is an advanced deep neural network algorithm for determining recurrence and survival prognosis in colorectal cancer based on routine H&E-stained histology slides. The algorithm is robust and based on solid ground truth and extensive training and testing with 4,500 patient samples and 90 million image tiles. The slides were prepared at several sites and scanned at two sites with two different scanners to ensure the test is robust and can be used in clinical practice. The solution provides accurate risk stratification, rapid turnaround time, seamless workflow integration, and complements and improves the accuracy of ctDNA testing. DoMore Diagnostics has received European Innovation Council (EIC) funding, combining grants and equity awarded up to €10 million in financing.
