About Vista AI

Vista AI develops intelligent software to streamline and automate MRI examinations, making gold-standard imaging universally accessible. The company's flagship product, Vista AI Scan, is an FDA-cleared automated scanning platform that began with Cardiac MRI (CMR)—the most complex and underserved MRI exam—and is expanding to brain, prostate, spine, and other anatomical areas. Founded by Stanford-trained imaging experts, Vista AI addresses critical healthcare challenges including rising demand, staffing shortages, and increasing clinical complexity in imaging programs. The platform enables existing MRI technologists to perform complex scans that previously required specialists, standardizing imaging quality across technologists and locations while boosting throughput with existing resources. Vista AI Scan has demonstrated real-world results including 26% faster CMR scan times, 50% more scan slots, and reduction of scan backlogs from 28 days to 1-day access. The company serves health systems and imaging centers, helping them expand services, reduce patient leakage to competitors, and deliver earlier diagnosis and timely treatment. Vista AI also offers RTHawk Research, a platform for academic and research institutions to develop advanced MRI applications with graphical pulse sequence design tools, advanced reconstruction capabilities, and real-time feedback integration. Backed by Khosla Ventures and guided by leading medical advisors from Stanford Medicine and University of Wisconsin-Madison, Vista AI is scaling its automation platform to transform how MRI imaging is delivered across healthcare systems.

Mission & Story

Mission

Our vision is to make gold-standard MRI universally available through automation—starting with cardiac imaging. Because every patient deserves access to gold-standard imaging, no matter where they are or who's behind the scanner.

Founding Story

Vista AI was founded by Stanford-trained imaging experts Dr. Bill Overall, PhD, Dr. Juan Santos, PhD, and Dr. Bob Hu, MD, who trained at Stanford's MRSRL (Magnetic Resonance Systems Research Lab). Since 2012, the team has worked with top imaging experts, scanned thousands of patients, and refined their algorithms to create FDA-cleared automation technology.
